1- Pumps generate more sound running at higher pressures and are at their loudest at atmospheric pressure.
2- Piston pumps are generally the loudest of laboratory vacuum pumps. The pump should become less loud while running a process and most pumps have exhaust silencers readily available. Contact Us for the correct silencing solution.
3- Damaged Valves. Replace flapper valves.
4- Debris in valves. Clean debris and check for valve damage.
5- Damaged gasket. Replace gasket
6- Loose fitting. Tighten fitting.
